13 essentials for a successful solo mama trip to the beach
Summer is here and for solo mamas everywhere with little kids begging to visit the beach, it can be an exciting yet stressful experience for parents. With one adult to supervise and sometimes one/two/three + kids in tow, thinking about the products you may need to make the trip easier for you to handle solo is worth it.
Below is a list of the best products I personally recommend (and own) from Amazon that have made my solo trips with children to the beach more enjoyable, less anxiety-inducing, and pure magic this summer.
I could honestly add another 20 to this list with my eyes closed but I tried to focus on the ones I truly love and deeply value on the solo mama journey.
All of my summer purchases revolve around three themes:
Safety: What products do I need to ensure my kid is safe at the beach.
Efficiency: What products do I need to make the trek to the beach with stuff and kids easier. And, what do I need to allow me to stay in one place as long as possible. As a solo parent (especially those with more that one child) running to the bathroom or to fill up water bottles requires a full stop for everybody which as you can imagine isn’t always appreciated.
Comfort: How can I create a comfortable and fun environment to extend the trip (and fun) as long as possible. If kids get too hot, hungry, thirsty, sunburned, tired or bored quickly, your fun trip to the beach could get cut short. Some of these products extended the day!
