When I started my journey as a solo mother by choice in 2020, I had a hard time finding people like me online or on social media sharing their stories publicly. It was challenging to connect with and learn from other women who came before me because this path wasn’t always discussed openly in the mainstream without stigma or judgement.

For many women choosing to have a child on their own, it is likely they do not know a single other person who has ever made the same decision. While it is becoming more common, it is still not widely accepted or discussed.

I launched @thesolomama to change that. My dream is to create a robust and connected network of solo mamas across the globe to empower, inspire and inform the next generation of women taking this path.
