Fun Fact: In 2020, I applied (for fun) for Miss Universe Iceland. I got the audition and found it very strange since I never wear make up, heels, or change out of athleisure. While I didn’t progress past the auditions, it was educational and fun and a little EGO boost!

Why did you decide to pursue solo motherhood?  I gave up on dating and finding the right person. I am also asexual so it is even harder to find someone.

When did you start your journey to become a solo mama? How old were you?
October 2020. I was 24 years old.

Did you pursue IVF/IUI/Other?
I did my first IUI in December of 2020 (it didn’t work). I did another IUI in October of 2021 (also didn’t work) so I switched to IVF in April 2022. IVF worked on the first embryo transfer. I birthed a beautiful baby boy on 11th January 2023.

What is your biggest piece of advice for other women considering this path?
Just go for it, you won’t regret it !
